Diplomas Now

The Philadelphia Education Fund, in partnership with Johns Hopkins University (JHU), conducted research that created a comprehensive dropout prevention model focused on middle grades called the Diplomas Now. See how the program is helping get students on track.

Philadelphia Scholars

Since 1990, the Ed Fund’s Philadelphia Scholars Program has awarded over $8,000,000 in college scholarships to graduates of Philadelphia public high schools. Learn more about the history of this program and the number of students who have benefited from the scholarships.

Philadelphia Teacher Residency

Philadelphia Teacher Residency (PTR) is a teacher preparation program that operates with the goal of preparing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) recent graduates and professionals to teach math and science in Philadelphia schools (grades 6–12). Small Schools Project

In 2005, Kensington High School was divided into three small schools with the goal of improving education in the neighborhood. Each school has a different concentration —business, performing arts, and culinary arts — to provide more autonomy for each of the schools and more options for students.
