Mission & Goals

The mission of the Community Partnership for Neighborhood High Schools is to improve our neighborhood high schools so that all youth are ready for post secondary education, careers, and active civic participation.

In aligning with the mission and background information, the Community Partnership for Neighborhood High Schools aims to:

  • Develop an aligned vision and action plan for local school reform among community members (including parents and other care-givers), school leaders, and school district administrators
  • Build awareness of the Secondary Education's Blueprint's Essential Characteristics and the major reform components of the Blueprint and Imagine 2014
  • Promote community action to directly improve their local high school
  • Build local partnership among parents, community members and schools
  • Create broader connections among communities across the city to learn from each other and collectively advocate for high school reform
