Throughout the Philadelphia Education Fund's 20 years of supporting school reform in Philadelphia, we have experienced great success with services that include: structuring school reform models, cultivating teacher quality, enhancing professional development, creating and sustaining a college-going culture, and engaging community resources. In 2004, the Ed Fund broadened its mission to include underserved youth in Philadelphia's surrounding communities.
Our dedicated staff has extensive knowledge and experience working in some of the most challenging educational environments. We have designed and implemented dozens of innovative programs to respond to the emerging needs of public schools and we possess important connections to key educational stakeholders including: institutions of higher education, businesses, parents, national networks and community-based organizations. The Ed Fund has convened these local and regional stakeholders to discuss a variety of issues, most recently middle grades education reform, higher education, financial aid, and student math and science achievement.
The Ed Fund also partners with districts and schools throughout the mid-Atlantic region to provide support and programs. Our current partners include the School District of Philadelphia, the Southeast Delco School District and the Lancaster School District, among others.
