Last year’s Educate Philly drew a sell-out audience at the Union League of Philadelphia. This year, there’s plenty of room…as we go VIRTUAL!
Join us on June 18th! Tune in for the festivities and a Master Class in COMMS101: The Media and Education. Class will be led by an expert panel, including Philly’s own and America’s Mayor Ed Rendell.
Drawing upon Thomas Jefferson’s argument that an educated citizenry is essential for self-government, in 2014, Governor Rendell co-founded the Rendell Center for Civics and Civic Engagement. The Rendell Center seeks to provide students and teachers with the tools to improve civic literacy.
How is the media succeeding in fulfilling its critical role of informing and educating the next generation of citizenry? Get your ticket to hear from Governor Rendell, as we examine this question from the 2020 Presidential Election to the COVID-19 pandemic and everything in between.
