In December, Bravo Mekonnen, a senior at Bartram High School who has been part of the College Access Program (CAP) since his freshman year, matched with UPenn through the QuestBridge Program! The PEF and Bartram communities have been celebrating this phenomenal achievement of Bravo’s, “which is a real testament to how focused and driven he is as a student,” notes Bartram’s CAP Coordinator, Brandi Ashley.
Brandi shares that Bravo, a student-athlete at the top of his class who also demonstrates leadership on the soccer field, plans to go pre-med at UPenn. And, for the past two summers, Bravo was selected to participate in CHOP-RISES, an intensive STEM-M (science, technology, engineering, math and medicine) internship program designed to build science confidence in high school students that are typically under-represented in research. Join us in congratulating Bravo on his hard work and dedication in achieving this epic success!
