By Philadelphia Education Fund Posted: May 29, 2020

We are pleased to announce that Jared Epler, Director of PEF’s TRIO College Access Program, will teach “Career Counseling and  Development” as adjunct faculty in Penn’s Graduate School of Education.

The course prepares graduate students who are heading into counseling careers in high schools, higher education, non-profits, and mental health organizations. Topics include career development theories, career counseling interventions and assessments, multicultural approaches to career counseling, and post-secondary planning for high school youth.

Jared is a Penn GSE alum with an M.Ed. in School and Mental Health Counseling. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. Jared now brings his passion for educational equity and clinical experience to higher education, and to the service of PEF’s College Access students. We’re excited to see what insights he learns from his new students!
