Make a Gift to Celebrate Rich & Sibyl

2020 CAP graduates

Congratulations Rich and Sibyl!

The Philadelphia Education Fund has benefitted from Rich’s service on our Board of Directors and Scholars Advisory Committee for some years. His guidance and generosity have made us a better organization and, this past spring, he made a clutch save for our college students who needed laptops to finish their semesters at home. And now, we’re doubly fortunate that he and Sibyl have chosen PEF as a gift option in celebrating their wedding.

In his role as Chair of the Scholars Advisory Committee, Rich helps us manage the Last Dollar Scholarship, the largest non-university scholarship for Philadelphia high school students. We distribute more than $500,000 annually to graduates of our college access programs which are housed in the city’s lowest graduation rate schools. Awards are need-based and fill the gap between a student’s financial aid package and the actual cost of attendance. In addition to these grants, we provide career and academic workshops, counseling, and mentoring. Our goal is that our students experience college to the fullest and graduate successfully to careers or futher education. You can learn more about PEF on our website.

Please use this link to honor Rich and Sibyl with your gift.

We thank you, and we wish Rich and Sibyl happiness, peace, and a long life together.

“I am a first generation college student because of the Last Dollar Scholarship. Thank you.”

Brandon Elvira Peña, Cabrini University 2024

“My family has struggled, but the scholarship has given me an opportunity to complete my education and there is nothing greater than that. I can change my situation for myself because of it.”

Kynaisha Cruz, La Salle University 2012
