By Allison Kelsey Posted: March 30, 2022

Join our team! The Philadelphia Education Fund is looking for an Educational Scriptwriter, VP Finance/CFO, AmeriCorps Post-Secondary Persistence Fellow, and College Access Lead Coordinator.

PhillyGoes2College, powered by PEF, is seeking a freelance Educational Scriptwriter. The scriptwriter will write original creative content for an animated series of up to five, approximately two-minute videos about the college-going process. The animated clips will help instruct Philadelphia public school students and PhillyGoes2College users in the college-going process. The person will work remotely but must have experience working in the Philadelphia area as a Counselor, Senior Seminar Teacher, College Access Provider, or similar position. Please see the following link for details and to submit your resume/cover letter by April 5!

The Vice President Finance/CFO reports to the CEO and is responsible for all the financial activities of PEF, including but not limited to the agency’s financial reports, budget, contract invoicing, and audits. They will be part of PEF’s leadership team and serve as a strategic partner in planning and implementing our future vision. Click here to apply and to learn more.

In spite of robust programming at the high school level and scholarship support in college, many of PEF’s College Access Program graduates still face challenges that inhibit degree attainment. The PHENND/PEF Persistence Fellow will help uncover the “why” behind PEF’s persistence trends and make data-based recommendations for sustainable interventions, which in turn will inform the basis of a new post-secondary persistence framework to be implemented by PEF staff. Specifically, the Fellow’s primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the execution of original qualitative and quantitative research of PEF’s historical persistence practices and post-secondary outcomes
  • Strengthen data management and tracking practices of CAP graduates
  • Develop a model of time-bound college persistence interventions to be implemented by PEF staff
  • Lay a foundation for a future community-supported career coaching/mentoring program.

Join the College Access Program (CAP) team as a CAP Lead Coordinator to help support and strengthen the reach and impact of its College Access Program at a new partner, Frankford High School. The individual will design and manage programs and will be responsible for developing new systems of partnerships. They will work to enrich our College Access Program students’ engagement and experience with the TRiO Talent Search program that leads to increased rates of college going and college completion.
