About
The Philadelphia Scholars program helps YOU get to college! We provide Last Dollar Scholarships to graduates of 21 public and charter high schools across Philadelphia. Since the program started in 1990, we have given out over $10 million to more than 1,900 students!
We provide our Scholars with mentorship opportunities, workshops with a college success and career prep focus, and ongoing support.
We also work with the College Access Program, which helps students get prepared for college by holding workshops, helping students apply for financial aid, giving essay writing advice, and more. We have College Access Coordinators at five high schools and at our public College Access and Success Center.
"Engaged on campus" contest
Calling all current recipients of the Philadelphia Scholars Program's Last Dollar Scholarship!
Starting November 1, 2012, we're inviting you to get involved in our "Engaged On Campus" contest. All you have to do is submit a picture of yourself engaged on your college campus in some way. Be creative with what that means for you. Think outside of the box! Just make sure you are in the picture in some way.
Each month, we will select our favorite picture and feature the winning Scholar on our website. Winners will receive the website spotlight story, a Philadelphia Scholars t-shirt, and a $25 Visa gift card.
