Education First Compact: Is It Time to Say Goodbye to the SAT?

Free
Virtual Event

How do you predict a student’s success in college? For most of the 20th century, the SAT has been a major player in assessing which students will succeed and which students will struggle. Yet, in recent years, more education leaders have come out against the SAT and ACT, citing it as a biased tool that makes it harder for students of color and low-income students to access quality education.

How do we establish metrics for student success while rejecting bias and discrimination? How do we prepare our students for the college admissions process while interrogating the systems that are harming them along the way? We hope you’ll join us for this very topical Education First Compact.
