Professional Development Opportunity: Collaborating Across the Aisle

Virtual Event

The Philadelphia Education Fund is offering high school and college educators from all content areas to a professional development session facilitated by our Postsecondary Success Program Fellows. The PPSP Fellows are a team of secondary and postsecondary educators with a special interest in aligning teaching and learning across the high school and college levels. This free opportunity will provide a space for collaboration around the question: How can we support students in effectively engaging with evidence as they transition from the high school to college classroom?

Who: High school and college educators from all content areas

When: Friday, November 19th from 12-2pm (Note: this is a School District of Philadelphia professional development half day)

What: As with the PPSP Fellow’s signature Instructional Rounds events, this session will be anchored in a non-evaluative glimpse into real classrooms. Assignments and their corresponding student responses will serve as a starting point for comparing and reflecting on practices and expectations across the secondary and postsecondary levels. High school and college educators of the same content area will work together on an action plan for applying findings to their own classroom assignments.

Registration: Please register by Friday, November 12th at tinyurl.com/FellowsPD21
